The US Department of Agriculture has reported a recall of over 16,000 pounds of ground beef due to potential E. Coli contamination. The affected products, produced by Cargill Meat Solutions on April 26 and 27, were distributed to Walmart stores nationwide under various labels without the Cargill brand visible.
Consumers are urged to dispose of or return the affected beef, identified by establishment ID "EST. 86P." No illnesses have been reported yet, but the presence of E. Coli strain O157:H7, also recently found in other beef products, has raised health concerns. Symptoms of E. Coli poisoning include severe stomach cramps and diarrhea, prompting advisories for immediate medical attention if symptoms appear.
