Some Social Security recipients will receive two checks in May due to a scheduling quirk, with the second payment on May 31 compensating for no payment in June. This adjustment occurs because SSI payments are issued on the first of the month, moving to the previous business day if it falls on a weekend or holiday. Similar instances will occur in September and November, with adjustments also planned for early 2025. Despite these changes, recipients will receive their full benefits annually.
